1.16 ct Blue Color-change Garnet
This exceptional color-change garnet has been in my personal collection for many years. The material originates from the renowned color-change garnet deposit in Taita-Taveta, Kenya, and was purchased in 2009 when the mine was still actively producing. It exhibits a remarkable shift from greenish-blue to purplish-pink, an uncommon and highly sought-after color change. The gem has been precision-cut in an opposed-bar (“pixelated”) style, giving it crisp brilliance and a modern, geometric appearance. A superb and uncommon specimen for any serious garnet or color-change gemstone collection.
