On every buying trip to Sri Lanka I see lots of alexandrites, but rarely are they well cut with a good color change. This met both criteria - a well cut octagonal radiant cut with an excellent color change. It's also very attractive in mixed lighting with no muddy brown tones, and has near flawless clarity.
