I've been purchasing spinels for years and have never seen one with this color or translucency (and neither had the spinel specialist that I purchased it from.) Purple with a shift to purplish-pink in various lighting. Exactly 5 carats in a fantastic emerald cut, and with its microscopic inclusions it has an ethereal glow .
