2.79 ct Grossular Garnet
The grossular species of garnet occurs in a range of colors, but one of the most unusual is yellow. A sub-variety is called "hessonite", which is identified with the "heat wave" or "scotch in water" appearance when viewed with magnification (and in magnified studio photos), but this effect is not apparent in normal viewing. A bright light yellow with excellent brilliance, eye-clean clarity, excellent cutting, and no treatments.
