78.63 ct Cubic ZIrconia "Tiffany Yellow" Replica
Anyone that's been following the gem trade knows that there was a surprise sighting of the famous 128 ct Tiffany Yellow diamond at this year's Academy Award ceremony, when Lady Gaga wore it - only the third person in history to do so. The original Tiffany Yellow diamond was found in South Africa and cut under the supervision of the renowned gemologist George F. Kunz in 1878, and yielded a cushion cut brilliant of 128.54 carats with a total of 90 facets.
It seemed like an opportune time for us to try cutting a replica. There are no official gemcutting diagrams, but based on photographs and an 1886 drawing I designed and cut a replica that captures the look and spirit of the original (albeit in cubic zirconia and a bit smaller to make it easier to wear!) It would make a stunning pendant or a huge cocktail ring, or even something special for your gem collection.
This is a special one-of-a-kind project so the sale is final - no returns.
