Most of the star sapphires that I see on my buying trips are overly gray, opaque or much too deep, but this was very well cut with good proportions, showed a very fine star with distinct and straight "legs", and is very clean for a star sapphire. The color is dark but attractive and it shows a color change from deep blue to violet (and as most of you know I have a weakness for color change stones). I think that you'll like this one too.
