1.54 ct Lab-created Color-change Sapphire
As a gemologist, I’ve always been drawn to gemstones that exhibit optical phenomena, and color change is among the most compelling. This lab-created sapphire displays a pronounced shift in appearance, moving from a delicate light purple under indoor lighting to a soft grayish-green in natural outdoor light. Cut from exceptionally rare Kyropoulos-grown material, it was precision cut in my Itasca round “hearts and arrows” design, engineered to maximize symmetry, scintillation, and the stone’s dynamic color behavior across varying lighting environments.
