Montana sapphires have increased in popularity during the past several years, and at the Tucson gem shows this year I found a nice selection of smaller Montana sapphire rough. This is the first from the parcel and it portends well for the rest - it's a nice deep blue-green teal color in my precision cut Itasca round brilliant.
