Demantoid garnets are famous for their intense green color, and for being one of the few gemstones where certain inclusions can make them more valuable. The golden threads that appear as feathery radiating fibers resemble the shape of a horsetail, so are therefore known as "horsetail" inclusions. These are extremely desirable in demantoid garnets, so I was thrilled to find this one. Excellent cutting and color.
