A fine lab-created emerald in the highly prized bluish-green "Colombian" color. The hydrothermal manufacturing method used for this material creates some internal wavy growth structures that give a roiled appearance called “gota de aceite” (drop of oil) or “efecto aleta de mariposa” (butterfly wing effect) that is highly desired in natural Colombian emeralds. Beautifully cut utilizing my optimized Asscher-style design.
