Mali garnets are a fairly recent discovery but good stones are always rare. This is a grossular/andradite garnet mix that has a very high refractive index, meaning that the cut gemstones have lots of dispersion. This beauty is very bright with a nice open color, has excellent clarity, and is precision cut in my popular "Itasca" round brilliant design.
