Award Winning Gemcutting
Finewater Gems provides the discerning customer with the finest in natural colored gemstones. The name Finewater itself comes from the ancient term that refers to the optimum combination of color and transparency in gemstones, with the best gems known as "gems of the finest water."
High-quality natural gemstone rough is selected and a design chosen that will optimize its inherent beauty. The stone is then cut using the most advanced faceting equipment. All gemstones are cut and polished to exacting standards, where each tiny meetpoint and facet are examined many times during the process with a 10x loupe. It takes more time and effort to provide this level of perfection, but the results speak for themselves.
I have traveled all over the globe to immerse myself in the wonderful world of gemstones, and to learn and buy "at the source" in Brazil, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, China, Nepal, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, and many other countries.
To ensure that the pictures of the gemstone closely resembles the actual gemstone, I've designed and built a specialized gemstone photography studio that incorporates color-calibrated cameras, lighting, and monitors to ensure the best color accuracy. Despite my best efforts to make the photographs appear true-to-life, everyone perceives color differently and your computer may be calibrated differently than mine. Therefore, I offer a liberal return policy so that you can decide after you've received the stone whether it's right for you.
Take a look at the gemstones in the gemstone galleries for my selection of beautiful natural gemstones. I try to keep a wide variety in stock; however, most of the gemstones that I cut never make it to the website because they are custom orders from existing customers.
